I haven’t been able to publish status updates on Facebook for about a week -which is why I’m publishing this as a link from a blog. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

As long as I’m on it, I might mention some other annoying FB glitches. When I click on things like guest lists for events, or friends lists (others or my own), more than half the time I get a small box that only contains about a half dozen names and there is no way to scroll down to see anything more. Other times, however, there is a scroll bar. Still other times, the lists appear without a box and it’s simple to scroll up and down.

Finally, I still don’t get the distinction between news and live feeds. They seem to be interchangeable, and often contain the same information in different order. I’ve also noticed that posts seem to be appearing in random order, with no relation to date of original publication.

Facebook might do well to simplify and stop with the “upgrades” and superfluous features that end up creating glitches and general confusion.
